Currently, Oman offers a 14-day, visa-free entry to citizens from more than a hundred countries. The Philippines is not yet part of that list; but pretty soon, we shall be seeing Filipino tourists visiting this Middle East country… even without a visa!
In a bid to boost its tourism industry, Oman will soon be opening its doors to visa-free Filipino tourists. According to the Oman Embassy in the Philippines, this initiative is set to take place by 2026.

Starting 2026, Filipinos Can Enter Oman Without Visa
At present, Filipinos can enter Oman through a tourist visa, visit visa, or employment visa (for OFWs). Starting 2026, however, Pinoy tourists shall soon be able to visit the country, visa-free!
During the recent Oman National Day celebration held in Makati City, Oman Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Nasser Said Abdullah Al Manwari stated that by 2026, Filipinos who are visiting Oman for up to two weeks will no longer need visas, GMA News reported.
“This is the first country in the Middle East that will waive the visa for the Filipino people,” the ambassador shared to reporters during an interview. “So you can enjoy Oman anytime without visa. Next year, it will be around two weeks without visa.”
Number of Tourists, Flights Set to Increase
Because of this latest move, the ambassador believes that the number of Filipino tourists in Oman will increase dramatically. He also mentioned that flights between the two countries will also be increased, in addition to the current Manila-Muscat route.
“We are ready to increase the number of flights,” he explained. “There is a plan to have another direct flight to Cebu. It’s not only Oman Air, but we have other airlines. We are working on that, we are looking to increase the flights from Manila but the capacity of NAIA… maybe in the future, in the coming years.”
Ambassador Urges Filipinos to Visit Oman
Finally, the ambassador urged Filipinos to visit Oman, a unique and beautiful country in the Middle East.
“We have mountains by the coast,” he shared. “We have sands… For our Filipino friends, please visit Oman. It is something amazing. It is unique in the Middle East.”

Indeed, this latest announcement from the ambassador is very exciting… imagine being able to visit and explore Oman without the need for a visa! We definitely look forward to hearing more about this in the coming months!
At the moment, Filipino tourists still need a visa or eVisa for visiting Oman, while those who are going there for work purposes need an employment visa. However, as we wait for the new rule to take place, we can always make plans to visit this amazing Middle East country soon!
