Who Can Apply for the Assistance
The DMW said the program is intended for OFWs whose employment has been directly affected by the ongoing situation.
This includes workers who:
- Lost their jobs, whether temporary or permanent
- Experienced reduced salary or delayed income
- Had shorter working hours
- Faced work disruptions
These conditions are becoming more common as businesses adjust operations.
How Much Financial Support Is Given
Qualified applicants will receive a one-time USD 200 cash grant (around ₱12,000).
The assistance is meant to help cover essential expenses such as food, transportation, and other daily needs while workers recover from income loss.
Document Requirements
To apply, OFWs must prepare:

- Proof of employment (contract, visa, or labor card)
They must also provide proof of impact, such as:
- Payslip showing reduced salary
- Employer certification of reduced work hours
- Notice of termination
If formal documents are not available, applicants may submit a self-declaration (sariling salaysay) or certification from Filipino community organizations as alternative proof.
